| I'm not much for updates.... Where does the time go???? Laura and I head for camp tomorrow morning for seven weeks in Mississippi in the blazing heat! Maybe I'll be able to post some while down there....but don't get your hopes up, because I probably won't. Pray for Laura and me as we are at camp. Pray that God will use us for His glory and we will joyfully be servants for Him in sharing His love with the campers and staff. | | |

~ Result: Sprained knee...still healing, but ever so slightly ~ Not to leave anyone out....my beloved mare Starburst dyeing her hair a different color

| I haven't updated this thing in 3months!!! I love this time of year - the beginning of spring - when I can go to sleep with the window open and a cool breeze blowing in beside my bed, and wake up to that same, usually cooler breeze and birds chirping outside. I've been keeping myself pretty busy these past few months. Since the middle of January, I've been working as a medical receptionist at a family doctor's office. It's been a job, and a good experience, but not really my ideal job. Let's just say it is hard for me to be in an office all day long, especially when it is gorgeous outside! When I'm not working in the office, I've been staying busy teaching some riding lessons. I think it is more of a therapy to me than to my students! It is so rewarding to be out there teaching, especially after sitting in front of a computer all day long! I love the girls that I teach too! They have been so much fun to teach, as well as hang out with after lessons. I'm still working on my project of trying to train this new horse, Phoenix. Ever since I started work at the office, my time with her has been very sporadic. I've gotten on her once....interesting experience and story there by the way, and my brother has so sweetly and bravely volunteered to get on her twice for me! She has definitely made tremendous amount of progress in the time that I have had her. I find it enjoyable just lunging her and watching her move. She really does have a big gait! I don't know if I would really even be able to ride her if she ever gets rideable or not. She and Starburst are so funny together. They are like two peas in a pod, and totally inseparable! Well, I was going to upload some picts....but it's not working, so I'll have to do that later.... | | |
| MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! 4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." | Well, I've got a new project that I'm working on now...
This is Fenix. She is as sweet as can be....but not trained to do much....especially ride. So....between now and summer, I'm going to have my hands full with this massive tank. If I can get her rideable, she could make a great horse. She is a beautiful mover. We haven't really done anything yet, because I just got her this past weekend. So, we'll see how she comes along. | | |
